LEAD TODDLER TEACHER

CURRENT OPEN POSITIONS: 2

The lead toddler teacher's responsibilities include formulating and implementing curricula to meet the basic and educational needs of toddlers. In this position, you will also be required to supervise teaching staff, track and report on students' progress, and ensure that classes remain safe and conducive to learning.

​

To ensure success as a lead toddler teacher, you should be compassionate and able to work well under pressure. you  should remain up-to-date with advances in early childhood development research.

​

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and implement curricula that cater to the basic and educational needs of toddlers.

  • Adhere to appropriate legal and educational guidelines to maintain toddlers' well-being.

  • Document and report on students' process.

  • Establish relationships with each family to ensure that their toddler's needs are met.

​

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education.

  • Valid state license or equivalent.

  • Proven experience planning and developing curricula for toddlers.

  • Prior experience teaching toddlers.

  • able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

  • Able to attend meetings as needed.

  • A keen interest in early childhood education

TEACHER ASSISTANT

CURRENT OPEN POSITIONS: 1

​

The Teacher Assistant supports the Teachers and the Director by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment.

 

Assisting the staff in implementing a quality educational program and in developing positive relationships with the children and their parents, the Teacher Assistant observes and documents children's interest and progress, and relays that information back to parents and staff. Teacher Assistant are responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on children's interests and needs under the direction of the Teacher and the Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.

  • Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.

  • Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.

  • Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.

  • Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.

  • Follow all center policies and state regulations.

  • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

​

REQUIREMENTS

  • High energy.

  • Ability to work well with others.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.

  • An understanding of child development.

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification or completion within 30 days of hire.

  • Must clear full background check and must pass health screening
